What's it stand for you ask? NMC stands for No Money Combined! Sadly but truely, at one point in their life, this was a True statement! While the years have passed and things have changed, the name still remains. No Money Combined art the first signees to sign with "Rezhog Records". NMC along with their label-mates are the proclaimed "Ones who put Wapato on the map". And while Crispy will not admit to being the leader, all fingers point to him. With his wise-crackin punch line after punch line delivery, Crispy is the workhorse of the group. Hooks, concepts thats all him. His hardwork has paid off though, as he has done many collaborations for other artist on their album. We asked Crispy to tell us more about NMC. "We've been doin it, along with the Rezhogs, aint nobody from here worked as hard as us. "We used to do songs on a karaoke machine, then put the songs on cassette. When everybody like them, we put it out on CD." So in 1999 Rezhogs/NMC put out their first mixtape, and ever since then it's been on! Crispy as of now says that he is wrapping up his latest mixtape..."Snap Crackle Pop" and is in production with his solo debut..."Crispy; The Undercover Gentleman". Crispy also speaks a-lot about the groups "Leave of absence", "We got priorities first, but i was tired of people saying that we were up and done, before our debut album even dropped"...So what did Crispy do, "I had these younger homeboys who play on the Wapato Basketball team, and I knew they were gonna be good, so this one day, I did a Wolfpack Basketball Track, that was basically a premonition come true" How did the song do?, "It hit bigger than i thought it would. I gave one copy out, then the next thing the whole town wanted one! They would even play it at the games, so i was gettin exposure at the same time, and for the first time i had kids running up to me asking for my autograph, thats how i knew shit was about to hit the fan" So Crispy got the ball rolling, and has no hope of stopping anytime soon. It's kind of like "La Bamba", when Bobbo asks Ritchie....Whats more important,...your music or your friends,....Ritchie says "My Family". Thats' how it is for Crispy and A-Vas. Crispy who has a daughter, and A-Vas who has a son. Dont get it twisted though, A-Vas has always been the one who will say what nobody expects him to say. He recalls before he had a Fam Bam how he was recording 2-3 songs a day! So there aint no denying his talent. He also has the incredible mind thinking ability to come up with an idea and see that idea put to use 4 years later. So if you wanna asks if A-vas has still got it, think again. Then there's R-Vas AKA The New Sensation, yup....the younger brother of A-vas. R-Vas is the other lyricist of the bunch, who is so young, but has bigtime potential. A-Vas said he always talked about being on a track, so one day R-Vas hit the studio...and hit it hard, making a bigtime statement on the first song he recoreded. Tending to talk about the struggles in life that he's been dealt with, R-vas is gettting ready to go out on his own, Hes already doing collaboration with your favorite artists. Then one day while eating a Billy Burger at their local diner, they heard someone bustin flows.....It was J-Shake. They slapped him on a couple of tracks, and fit perfect! The "speedster rapper" of the crew, is more on the production side. Lacing up beats for the record label, and all the local cats in the area. You can bank on anything that J-shake produces is gonna be a Banger!!! Last but not least is Jimbo,(Yes the star point guard for the Basketball team), the baby of the bunch, who is the gimmie money, gimmie bitches type of rapper. What's good about Jimbo is he relates a-lot to the younger crowd, and can get them off of their feet. As for the group as a whole, it's been 4 years in the making!!! but finally at Summers end, "NMC; Other Peoples Money" will be released. With appearances by Rezhogs, JSK, SeanOne, OffOne, F-U, Suave-Loc, Mike Miller and many more, with production by J-shake, Crispy, A-Vas, and Costello Enterprises. Crispy also dropped a big Bombshell on us! At the same time NMC is working on there first album....They are already working on the follow up....NMC: "Broke and Famous" So if your looking for a collaboration, production, or performance, you've come to the right spot! This is Mark Peters for "NORTHWEST RAP EXPLOSION...The Magazine"
