Myspace Backgrounds I'm addicted to sophisticated literature and music - and it was hard to decide, what I will do for a living and what I will have to save for my spare time. But I found a perfect setting: First I became a Lecturer of modern German literature - then I married a DJ which was the best coup ever to triple my record-collection.I use this myspace platform to share music and to stay in contact with friends. My favourites at the moment are the Japanese Jazzpunk-projects "The soil and pimp sessions","Big Horns Bee" and the "Wack Wack Rhythm Band" and Jamie cullum. I like a lot stuff actually coming from Brighton like Quantic, Alice Russel and Natural Self (no clue what they do in the water over there), I fancy Camille (and the Nouvelle Vague-project in general), but also Roisin Murphy/Moloko, Sugarloaf Gangsters, Speech Defect, MC Solaar, Nina Simone and the absurdities of Stereo Totale (Bretzel Göring and Francoise Cactus). I also love funky flowing orchestra-sounds, or battles of a whole orchestra in front of a single piano - Janko Nilovic is fantasic here... and electronic music lile Tosca, the Cinematic Orchestra or Jazzanova. So, I'm curious for good music in general and not limited to a genre - and if you want to share my big love for music of almost all genres (I'm not a big fan of reaggae and country-stuff I must admit, but you can try to convince me otherwise), and also for literature and visual arts, just drop me a mail.
