One quote says it..."Live as if you were to die tomorrow, learn as if you were to live forever."- Gandhi.Maybe a bit more is in order....Well I am liberal and proud. I'm an environmentalist and conservationist. I am spiritual by my nature, but not religious. I am a patriot, but not a blind one. I believe that our founding fathers were nothing more than the terrorist threat of their time. I think that religion does not belong in politics and that our government was not set up for both systems to support each other. I believe in small business, not big business, but realize that we need a balance of both. I believe in small town America and the more simple things in life. I see history repeat itself over and over, and that we (as in Americans) are too egocentric and materialistic. Our country and our leaders need wake up calls, and so does the religious right. This is still the land of freedom, and we still have a constitution, so back off conservative America. Times will change. We will see gay marriage. We will see legalization. We will see better health care. We will see better education. I am personally convinced that our government and our way of life will be forced to change. Our resources, and furthermore, the world's resources are being consumed faster and faster. What most people do not realize is that politics has now transformed itself, and is now the costume party for big corporate business. When you vote in November, if you vote, vote the interest of your children and your grandchildren, they will be the ones who will have to pay back the debt, deal with the problems, and cope with a world torn with hate, murder and war.
