I am here for Friends

About Me

Hi i'm Nick, my friends call me Bird , family call me nick and the people at Reader's Digest called me Mrs. N. G. Riffin(!?!). Most recently following an after work couple of drinks I was christened with the new name AbGrab which is a hybrid of Abraham and Graeme, pretty much because we were discussing what names we look like we should have and with me it was either Abraham (because they reckon I look like Lincoln) or Graeme (which suits me because I could grow Graeme Garden sideburns). Until recently I was a media student but dropped out as the Dissertation processes bored the hell out of me. Fully intend to go back. Eventually. In the mean time I'm a barman at a pub and generally sitting down and getting on with life, ultimate ambition would be to run my own pub which was bar orientated with plenty of live music. Generally I see myself as a laid back guy who enjoys himself (others may argue otherwise though). It'd be fair to say I do have a slightly slanted view of the world and tend to come up with really silly ideas and concepts.Almost God: Miles & TraneJaco Pastorius : The Chicken.

My Interests

I'd like to meet:

Well give me a TARDIS and historically I'd love to meet Abe Lincoln, Karl Marx, Duke Ellington Louis Armstrong, Einstein, Charlie Parker, Robert Johnson, WC Handy, Charles Dickens, HG Wells and Terry Nation (and ask him how got away with telling the same story all the time). In a more up to date tone I'd like to meet Pete King the man who until recently was in charge of Ronnie Scott's, Jane Monheit for the phwoar factor, Ken Clarke (not a Tory myself but we'd have a great chat about jazz).I'd liked to of met Spike Milligan in one of his more stable points, the man wasa genius sadly cursed by his mental illness. Humphry Lytttelton and Courtney Pine I could have a long conversation with as well.A nice bit of Monty Pyhton:
