Mostly been playing tunes in the back bar of the Old Inn in Dunfy toon. Entertaining the die hard followers with some house tunes mixed with a bit of clssic dance and indie. The bar is currently being refurbished but there is no more room for the legendary tunes or, ahem, DJ! Intersting idea!!!My fiance Philippa and I are heading out to Lanzarote on 29 April for an initial 4 months but hopefully longer. Looking to get some DJ work out there and see if I can get the tunes on the go again.We hope to make a new life out there in the sunshine. I will obviously be very sad to see the back of Dunfy; guys pishing against the graveyard wall outside Life, trying to understand someone's dialogue at 2am in the Pizza shop whilst my mouth waters at the prospect of a Michelin Star awarded polysterene tray of the 3cs (chips, cheese and chilli sauce)!I will also miss the young dandy chaps cavorting in the streets with their bunnets on drinking vintage bottles of red wine, apparently produced by some blissfully unaware religous folk in an abbey in England. At least I will probably understand the dialect of the locals in Spain a bit easier.Sticking with music though and it's soon goodbye to the Dunfy music policy. Every single bar and club playing shit party charty tunes and no one really going out for a night out to enjoy music. Just going out to follow the rest of the white woollen ones into a place where you complain how shit it is but there are mair burds there than the other places. There is only one exception, however and that is the Mezzo Bar in Johnsons. It is still keeping it real with the music policy and a big shout goes to Mikey Ingles, Andy Stirling and Stevie Bishop for keeping it alive. Good luck guys and keep it going.Bye bye Dunfy, the land of Saxos and Subarus, you will be sadly missed.Just bought an apartment in a yachting Marina in Balchik, Bulgaria by the way. I will be renting it out from June onwards if anyone is interested in a holiday.
