About Me

This layout was handmade with love by the folks at My space or yours? Go get one!
A true "country-western" girl, Rachel Williams was born and raised in Twin Falls, Idaho on her father's family cattle ranch, a fourth generation child. She grew up singing and song writing. Some of her fondest memories are of her loving, extended family gathered around her grandmother's guitar and the piano, singing all the old-time gospel and country favorites.
Rachel began singing publicly at her church and school functions, first as part of a trio with her sisters, and then on to her own solo career by the time she was in Junior High School. With a burning desire to learn all she could, she majored in music and voice in college and was a featured soloist.
Rachel's dream of going to Nashville was finally fulfilled in May of 2004 when she recorded her first album, "UNVEILED," which has now been released nationally and internationally. She released her first single Calvary Painted A Picture of Grace which was 1 on the CGCN charts for almost 3 months running, Toping the 1 spot in the months of December and February of 2006, making her the New Female Vocalist Of the Year in Country Gospel Music! Her songs are reaching over 60,000,000 house holds world wide. Rachel Is currently the New Female Vocalist Of the Year, she received the Best Album of The Year, (Rachel Williams, Unveiled), and Best Song Of The Year, (Calvary Painted a Picture Of Grace) All for the 2006 ICGMA 50th Annual awards show, held in Nashville TN, on Aug. 12th. Congrats Rachel!
Her beautiful, angelic voice is soothing audiences everywhere she is heard. In addition to her many personal appearances and radio and TV work, Rachel also sings as a leader and soloist in her home church, Living To Go Center in Nashville, and enjoying her time in Music City. It has always been a place she longed to be a part of, and is now where she calls home. Most importantly, Rachel has heard and received the call the Lord upon her life. She is eager and willing to go whereever the Lord leads her. Bringing a message of hope, peace, joy, strength, and love. She encourages her audiences to remember there is never any dream too big for the Lord to bring to pass. He gives us our dreams and is eager to fulfill all our desires! Trust in Him and watch as He unveils His purpose in your life. Rachel always signs Jeremiah 29:11 along with her signature to let others know from where she draws her strength and her hope!

Influences: RACHEL WILLIAMS: Unveiled

Country gospel,a bit southern, and a bit bluegrass. Sweet, pure, and full of peace. An artist with a message of hope.

My influences are too many to name, but here are a few. My parents and Grandparents. I have a wonderful loving family and they are very involved in all that I do and have become. Both of my Grandmothers are singers and played huge roles in teaching me many songs. My Grandma Joyce says that when I was three she would rock me to sleep and sing then humm rockaby baby. She said once she just sang the words then stoped and didn't humm and I wiggled and said Grandma you didn't hum hum hum hum. She said I humed it perfect! She was shocked and always reminds me of that. My Grandma Carletta always would play the Guitar and all of us grandkids would sit around and sing at the top of our lungs to May The Circle, or You Are My Sun Shine. I love those memories, they are sweet! Other influences are Dolly P., Patsy Cline, Johhny Horton, Braun Brothers, Forester Sisters, The Judds, Martina McBride, Allison Krauss, and many more. I am very proud of where I come from and the people who poured into my life. Church, school, weddings, funerals, and Sporting events have all helped contribute to my music and social skills. I love singing the Star Spangled Banner and the rush of pride the sweeps over my being when sung. It is awesome!!! Well, there are a few. I will write more with time, untill then, God bless and keep on dreaming and singing!! :)
Sounds Like: A healthy helping of country, with a few sprigs of bluegrass, a few Southern Gospel chords all mixed together.
