MALAVERANY is a death/doom metal band from Barcelona, Spain that writes all lyrics in català , which is our mother tongue.The band establishment comes back in Spring 2003, when Marky, once the drummer of the melodic death/black metal act Black Tear, which had split up recently, and Isaac meet and decide to join forces in a new musical project. In 2004 is when Quim (Gargamel), Tony (Nocturn) & David (Channeling) join the band and complete our line-up.
Some members of MALAVERANY have been part of the extreme metal scene playing in bands like: Black Tear (melodic death/black metal), Insanity Mind (one of the first bands ever to play death metal in Spain), Nocturn (Black Metal) or Channeling (Gothic Metal).
During November 2005, we recorded our first selftitled demo CD, now available through:

During May 2007 David decides to leave the band.
We are currently working in new songs, this time definetly more focused on crushing death metal riffs and slow doom parts as well as mixing some clean acoustic chords. A new recording session might take place during next October/November 2007. New gigs are about the be announced.
