For the past three years Conceptual Elements has been hailed by fans and critics as an intelligent return to old school hip-hop with a contemporary angst. Blending socially conscious lyricism, abstract poetics and unorthodox wordplay with music that ranges from jazzy and soulful to gritty and hard-hitting the Conceptual Element sound is lyrically cognizant and musically dynamic.

Evolving out of the Long Island based NewMuse Productions, a grass roots collective representing independent artists of spoken word, poetry, graphic art, acoustic funk and hip hop, the individual members of Conceptual Elements have been developing their own unique sound and core fan base for several years. In 2005 the group came together and began writing material for their first full length release titled "Conceptual Elements" which was released to the acclaim of fans in the winter of 2006. The group hit the Long Island club scene to support the new album with a live show that showcased a musical intensity and poetic intelligence that garnered them a reputation of being one of the best underground groups on the east coast and has led to performances with KRS-1, Slick Rick and other legends of the hip hop community.

In early 2007 the group signed with the management powerhouse the 7th Level Entertainment Group. Shortly thereafter the group secured song placements in the Warner Brothers feature film "Twisted Fortune" staring Charlie Murphy, Dave Atel and Ike Burnholts and began the process of expanding the "Conceptual Elements" brand. Their continued success in the States lead to the group signing a global digital distribution deal with Blue Pie Productions in the spring of 2007. The copious deal includes global distribution of their music catalog to over 15,000 international points of purchase, worldwide ringtone deals for all major cell phone carriers and video distribution for DVD and music video product lines produced by the group.

After touring extensively throughout 2007 in support of the "Conceptual Elements" album the group headed into the studio in the winter of 2008 to record their sophomore full length release titled "Sage Club". The first single from the album, "Where My Hearts At", was premiered in the late summer of 2008 on the Trim Mix Party hosted by DJ Cut Supreme on 90.1 FM and has found regular rotation on traditional radio and web radio alike. As the summer of 2008 draws to a close the group is putting the finishing touches on the "Sage Club" album and gearing itself up for shooting the video for "Where My Hearts At" which will be included on the "Sage Club" enhanced CD as a bonus for fans in addition to being released to several major market and independent video programs.
