Those who forsake instruction praise the wicked, but those who heed it resist them. Proverbs 28:4

About Me

I'm currently in the process of joining the Air Force either as an Air Battle Manager (Officer) or dealing in Aircraft Armament Systems (Enlisted). I anticipate beginning basic training this fall. With the exception of the first year of my life, I've lived entirely in socal. Once I finished highschool, I had no desire to go to college. But my parents made me an offer I couldn't refuse. Either go to college and they'd cover it or pay rent instead. It was a no brainer. I eventually received my AA in business, but got burned out on accounting and didn't want to undergo the torture of business/managerial calculus. I decided to switch my major to philosophy. My intro class was taught by a man who stated that he didn't pass anyone in his class unless they became, "enlightened," which apparently meant rejecting the Word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD and leaning on our own understanding. What nonsense! He failed my term paper which attacked autonomous reasoning, but decided to accept it, as is, after I began greavance proceedures. If he had failed me, I probably would have changed my major to an easier subject like political science. I completed my BA in philosophy in 2004. During the pursuit of my BA, I studied various topics like: Theory of Knowledge, Metaphysics, Aristotle, Wittgenstein, Empiricism, Rationalism, Symbolic Logic, Philosophies of Science & Religion, Ethics, Aesthetics, Judaism and Buddhism. Occasionaly, I'm asked how I was able to keep the faith, having been exposed to pagan craftiness. I was raised Christian and I have never known a time in my life when I wasn't aware of my sin and my need/longing for Christ. I think the reason so many Christians lose their belief while in college, is due to the prevalence of evidential apologetics which are based on human reasoning apart from God's Word. Fallen man can never answer the big questions apart from revelation. Where there is no light, there is no sight. Christ is the light of the world. In His light do we see light. As for my specific theological views: I am Augustinian in my soteriology (everything I know about the grace of God is solely by the grace of God), Presuppositional in my apologetics, Theonomic in my understanding of civil law, Partial-Preterist in my eschatology, and Federalist concerning the covenants. I hold to the five solas of the Reformation. I am a member of http://www.branchofhope.org. Drop by and visit me any Lord's Day. MyGen Profile Generator
