...Blah Blah Blah, what to say! A life long Gooner (since the age of 8) I still have nightmares of the '69 League Cup Final and Don Rogers running rings round Ian Ure and Bob Wilson in the Wembley mud. Still things soon got better, for a couple of years anyway. All hail Charlie George!!!! The only other good things to happen in the 70's was Slade and Punk Rock, what a wake up call that was. By '79 I got heavily into the Rockin' scene, which is where I met Mrs Flea!!! She is my lobster (They mate for life if you need to know!)My brood. Mrs Flea (Lisa), No.1 Son (Lewis), No.2 Son (Harry), and No.3 Son (Sid) all wonderful people who keep me in line, most of the time! ;)I did my first ever tour, as a roadie in Norway, Sept 79 for a band called Crisis who co-headlined with a reggae band called Cygnus, and that was me pretty much hooked with life on the road. For the next 20 years I circled the globe many times working for Kirk Brandon, Mick Jones and Big Audio Dynamite (13 years man and boy), Deee Lite, Incognito, Roddy Frame, Tom Tom Club, Catatonia, David Byrne, Ash, Manic Street Preachers and Kylie Minogue amongst many others. My last tour was with David Byrne in 1997 and since then I've done a few odds and sods gigs for Manic Street Preachers, David Bowie, Johnny Mathis and the Who, which I've fitted in between my current "Day Job" managing Vintage and Rare Guitars in Denmark Street. That's where you can find me nowadays, chewing the cud and swapping old road yarns with even older roadfilth mates and musos who still pop by for a strum and the occasional pint after hours...
...maybe I'll see you down there. The Reverend Jah Flea Roy
