Falling Forward is an alternative rythmic rock band made up former members of the famed Canadian indie band "Sylmarillion". Formed in early 2006, Falling Forward is slated to release it's debut album in 2007 on THE SYL RECORDS label based out of Vancouver Canada.
Falling Forward's initial recordings have gained much attention by media and fans alike, eager to hear the next product of the musical team that turned a highschool band into one of the top unsigned Canadian rock groups of 2004 - 2005.
Songs "The Day" and "Kings" have already been circulated by mp3 file sharing programs and popular networking website "MySpace". Savvy DJ's began airing early Falling Forward songs by the fall of 2006 and the band quickly became a favourite on Satellite Radio, Internet Radio and Internet Podcasts.
In November of 2006, director Nicholas Friesen's feature Film "Random Musings of a Girl Named Daphna" prominently featured tracks "Broken Mouths" and "Eyes So Black" by the band.
While all musical parts on Falling Forward recordings are performed entirely by Riedel and McKenzie, the band features a multitude of guest musicians for live performances. The band plans to announce it’s confirmed lineup leading into the album release and subsequent tour.
