About Me

Hello!My name is Emma, as those of you who already added me know and I live in Newport and write for a local magazine called Voice (which I part own too) which means I get to interview loads of cool bands and famous people which is pretty darn nifty indeed! She makes me laugh and smile so much - she's amazing!I love going to gigs but am not so fussy on actually leaving the house to get pissed these days. It seems that even though I think I'm 18 in my head, my body doesn't agree, so I spunk my money on shopping, holidays and an obscene number of toys for my daughter. Oh and more shopping.I would love to be Kate Moss, I'm afraid, because she always looks super cool but I'm haven't been cut out right for it!I really want a tattoo, but having my arms waxed made me hurl abuse, so I'll be building up to that one for a long while yet. Although Dave informs me that waxing is more painful than tats I disbelieve him totally!I'm going through a bit of a Japan thing at the mo, which is driving my boyf mad. In my house there's Hello Kitty and kokeshi dolls everywhere!I hate war and poverty - they make me cry but LOVE, yes LOVE, High School Musical and I'm so not ashamed to admit it.I have nothting more to say.

My Interests

Music, TV, shopping, shopping, shoes and Poppy! I also think celebrities are the best thing since something else that's pretty good. I love celeb gossip. I know it's sad and not exactly high-brow but never mind! I buy every celeb mag each week and read them all. Tragic, but true! I want to travel more but my work won't allow at the moment but my time'll come! I am however, hoping to start my second degree in September and want to do something a bit useful this time.

Music:

My fave band is Ash (yes, still) and the Killers (Brandon Flowers is yummola) but I love Biffy Clyro, The Twang, the Holloways, The Beatles, Klaxons, The Gossip and many others. I really like old Brit Pop like Sleeper, 60ft Dolls and Elastica! I also love ska-punk type stuff and still haul out my DHC ablums amongst others on a regualr basis. Ah. I also like what the NME would call EMO. Sorry. Take That make me smile too. I wish I had more time to watch music television because I love good music videos although I don't like to intellecualise too much about concepts and all that pap.

Movies:

ET and any of those naffola American Teen Movie things and of course, High School Musical!Also, Breakfast at Tiffany's rates pretty highly and I love naff bi-opics like The Carpenter's Story and Spice Worldthe Movie makes me smile.Star Wars is also a fave too - only the oldies though. Saying that - I've only been to the cinema twice in the last three years and both films I saw were utter tripe.

Television:

Eastenders and Hollyoaks. I can watch them during the week and the repeats on a Sunday!Sad but true- it's the only tv I have the time to watch. The rest, though, (and perhaps the aforementioned programmes)is just pants so I don't bother. I'm a busy girl.

Books:

Prozac Nation is my favourite book ever in the world ever. I just read Gary Barlow's biog too which is pretty darn good!

Heroes:

Audrey Hepburn, Gwen Stefanni and that's it! Ooooh and my Mum and little girl. My lil' Sister is pretty cool too. I know of no other peron who can smoke her way from getting home from work on a Sunday morning to the following next Saturday night without leaving the house. Quite impressive.
