Band Members: I am a solo artist,once the '1107' album is recorded i will be putting a band together and taking it on the road....hopefully coming to a town near you soon !!!!!!
Influences: THESE ARE THE ARTISTS THAT HAVE INFLUENCED ME.. U2..at their best,just the music alone on the 'Unforgettable Fire' album is full of emotion,add to that the best vocal work Bono has ever done and you have an album unmatched since then,even by them .. the emotiveness of music is one element i try to take into my own music !! ADAM ANT .. is a totally underrated genius .. check out the counter melody at the end of this song,something he uses to great effect so many times and a feature of my own music too !! JOHN LENNON .. "The loss of one man and his music will never be measured in our time" .. A true musical genius of our time . . of ALL time .. just listen to the simplicity of the music here as it rises,gaining momentum as the litany of all he hates spills out finally reaching the climax where,clear of all the baggage,he is free . .raw emotion which stuns me everytime i hear it !! BRUCE SPRINGSTEEN .. For me his 70's/early 80's music is by far the best . .Thunder Road is everything thats good about his music wrapped up in one song .. Its hard to get footage from the 70's .. i love this video !! EDIE BRICKELL .. I must have listened to the album that this track came from ('Shooting Rubberbands At The Stars') at least twice a day for a year or more when it first came out . . Her voice just flows over the music effortlessly,how more people aren't switched on to her beautiful music is a mystery to me !! THE BOOMTOWN RATS .. Its seems the world has forgotten the true greatness of 'The Boomtown Rats' in the midst of 'Sir Bob's' elevation to sainthood (an acolade he richly deserves) .. power pop/punk with melodies and hooks to burn,this is taken from my favorite 'Rats' album 'A Tonic For The Troops' !! PETER GABRIEL .. Awesome artist,Peter Gabriel makes music that moves you,surrounds you and takes you over . . another huge influence on the music i make and hope to continue making !! KATE BUSH .. I was a late convert to the wonderful music of 'Kate Bush',once i heard her duet on 'Dont Give Up' with 'Peter Gabriel' i knew i had to hear more,such a stunning voice,even if all you get is her greatest hits cd you will have enough to get lost in . . then,like me,you will just have to own everything she has ever recorded !! BEN FOLDS .. One of the most beautiful tracks ever recorded taken from 'Ben Folds' amazing album 'Rockin the Suburbs' .. bittersweet melodies wrapped in amazing musicianship .. pure class !! BARENAKED LADIES .. Pure clever pop music,this is one of their more serious songs from the album 'Gordon' which still gives me shivers on the final chorus !! ICEHOUSE .. Im a self confessed 80's nut and there are so many undiscovered gems from that era such as the 'Icehouse' album 'Man Of Colours' .. many may know the singles 'Crazy' and 'Electric Blue' but every bit as good are the title track 'Man Of Colours' and 'Heartbreak Kid' synth's and guitars never mixed so well !! FINN BROTHERS .. The Finn Brothers album 'Everyone Is Here' is one of the most beautifully crafted and melodic albums of the last few years .. A songwriting masterclass !!
