About Me

Hello everyone! Right now I am a stay-at-home (due to unemployment) mom of my two beautiful boys Trevor and Zach. I have been lucky enough to be able to stay home with them but the need to be a two income family has finally caught up with us and am going to be starting a new job with the TSA in the next few weeks! Mike is still working in his new position as a Program Analyst for the TSA and he totally impressing the big wigs so....yay baby!! And of course he loves it 'cuz now he works bankers' hours M-F from 7-3:30 so he is lovin' that. We finally bought our first house in Fernley and absolutley love it!! It is so nice to have a place of our own at last!! I have three adult step-children. My step-kids are Kindy(22), Jennah(21) and Nicholas(19). Kindy got married in June '06 to Derek and she had our first grandson in October '05, so yes...I am a grandma!! Kindy has been working very hard going to school for her teaching degree, working and being a wife and mom!! So she is very busy!! Jennah also is going to school full time for her teaching degree and working as well and has recently separated from her husband and is now back in Vegas. We can't say we are sad about the divorce though, she deserves a better husband than that loser. So both of our girls are busy and we miss them both a bunch since we don't get to visit them that much but we are extremely proud of them both! We don't have much contact with Nicholas as he lives in Vegas and is just doing his own thing right now, hopefully that will change before too long though!! My two boys are the eternal loves of my life. Trevor turned four in August and Zach turned two in July!! They love running me ragged but I love every minute of it!! Well, that is me in a nutshell! I hope to hear from some long lost friends and maybe even make some new ones. Love to y'all! And keep Smilin'...it makes people wonder what you've been up to!!!

My Interests

My family, NFL football, shopping, scrapbooking, crafts, movies, and anything that has to do with the fight against Autism! My little brother is autistic and I am hoping that within my lifetime they will find a cure so no one else has to watch a loved one trapped in a mind that they cannot express, because it is heart-breaking!!

I'd like to meet:

Vin Diesel, Matthew McConaughey, Dr. Phil, and I know there are more celebs that I can't think of. I would also like to meet some other moms that share interests because you can never have too many girl-friends!

Music:

I like pretty much a little of everything and yes, I hate to admit it but even a couple of country songs...but only a couple. Some of my favorite bands/singers are Red Hot Chili Peppers, Green Day, Staind, Nickelback, Jack Johnson, Death Cab for Cutie, Franz Ferdinand, Gorillaz, Bloodhound Gang, Yellowcard, Modest Yahoo, System of a Down, Colbie Callait, Maroon 5 and I know there's more but I can't remember.

Movies:

My favorite movies are anything with Vin Diesel in it!! My favorite type of movies is romantic comedies, yup chick-flicks!! I know I know, but I can't help it. My newest favorite is The Notebook, that was such a tear-jerker!! But I also like action and suspense movies too. One of the best ones without a dout is National Treasure, sooo cool!!! No horror flicks though, I'm a big wuss!

Television:

I am pretty much a TV junkie. I am addicted to a few select shows though, Army Wives, Psych, Survivor, Big Brother, Lost, Amazing Race, Grey's Anatomy, Desperate Housewives, Extreme Makeover Home Edition, Good Eats, Ace of Cakes, Rachael Ray, Moonlight, Ghost Whisperer, Eli Stone...ok so maybe more than just a few.

Books:

A few choice books that my kids love to read every night and sooner or later I will get around to reading some grown-up books!

Heroes:

Anyone who has served in the military EVER! I think that is just the biggest and most noble sacrafice to make for our country and for our freedoms. I am thankful for all of the servicemen and women all over the world. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR GREAT COUNTRY AND GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!!!!!
