Nassau County and Playgroundz.net invite you to Eisenhower Park on August 24th, 2007 for a free concert featuring four of Long Island’s hottest bands (Code Anchor, Sick as Monday, Johnny Bhive and 5North), plus special guest Blake Ian. They are set to hit the stage at the Harry Chapin Lakeside Theatre starting at 7:00PM, gates open 6:00PM. Members of the United Service Organizations (USO) will be on-hand accepting donations from the public for care packages; those who wish to make a donation are encouraged to bring new, packaged items like DVDs, iPod Shuffles, phone cards and anything else that might improve the troops’ quality of life. Eisenhower Park has never put on a concert like this—until now. So come make history, experience what rock music has been missing, and support our troops!
