Ugly Friend is a rock and roll trio based in NYC. Their music is a mixture of power chords and melodic rhythms with a punk edge. Their influences range from the legendary Replacements, to Johnny Cash, the Clash, and many more. They have been a fixture in the New York City scene for the past 8 years.The band features singer/guitarist Mikey O', Flip on bass, and Jimmy on drums. They have recorded 3 albums so far. They include 2002's "All Bagged Up", 2004's "Number Two", and 2006's "Grand Uglification Theory".They have travelled up and down the East coast in recent years, both on their own and in support of national acts, and now plan to expand their horizons even further. They are currently in rehearsals to prepare for their '09-10 live onslaught, that will find the boys trekking North, South, West, and possibly Canada (for the 1st time!).They have been featured on many college and internet radio stations, as well as New York's own 104.3. They have also had several of their performances broadcast worldwide via webcam.
