About Me

Formed in 2001, KINGPIN have released three albums to date: the self-titled debut, SAY YEAH! and and updated, re-mixed SAY YEAH!. Final mastering on the forthcoming GET ON THE RIDE OR STEP ASIDE is complete and the band are currently considering a release date. The new album's release may coincide with the release of lead guitarist Chris Gibbs' debut solo album in 2009.GET ON THE RIDE OR STEP ASIDE is the culmination of KINGPIN's successful 12 IN 12 project of 2005, where the band received government arts funding assistance to write, record and release on single per month for twelve months.KINGPIN have supported and toured parts of Australia with NICKELBACK, THE LIVING END, GRINSPOON, THE SUPERJESUS, KILLING HEIDI, LIFEHOUSE, DEFAULT and THIRSTY MERC to name but a few.KINGPIN toured the UK in 2002 as part of the inaugural FIERCE FESTIVAL, alongside SPIDERBAIT, REGURGITATOR, MIDNIGHT OIL and EVEN.
