About Me

Raised in Germany, Pfefferkorn is half-German and half-French. He was the creator, front man and major musical influence of the Francophone boy group Les Frères Checkolade, who threw the musical whirlwind ²Superdisco² onto our dancefloors, showing his talent for plunging the audience into something new and different, while letting them feel comfortable and enjoy the vibe. He worked with or was remixed by musicians like Rechenzentrum, T. Mynther (Stella, Das Bierbeben), F. Spilker (Die Sterne), P. Fuhlbrügge and Naomi. Today, as Monoprix, Pfefferkorn¹s music explores the depths of electronic composing without loosing sight of enchanting melodies and soul-caressing pop songs. If there have been times in music history, when the synthesizer was declared a soulless machine, Monoprix has come to breathe life right back into it and turned it into Bambi. For his performances he is not afraid to grab the acoustic and electric guitar or let himself get into a delightful singing duet with his sampler.____________________________________________________ ____________And then there’s the DJ Florian Pfefferkorn. Obviously, musical wisdom has its roots somewhere, and he is willing to share. To be part of his DJ-ing sessions means to be taken on a walk from Paris to Berlin by a Charismatic, who not only brings you forgotten treasures, but fills you in on the latest hype by mixing the newest electro music with German No Wave artists from the 1980s as well as with Glam Rock and French Electro Pop. Berlin coolness, German New Romantic and French esprit all meet in Pfefferkorn¹s wild and wonderful spinnings that make Brit Pop fade to grey - and people addicted to dance!...................................................... ..........
