DCD is Mitch Pykosz, who grew up in Nantucket, MA in the mid-eighties. With all kinds of weird music like Culture Club, Wham, and Depeche Mode ruling the air waves, Mitch would often dip into mom's LP collection for refuge.Mitch grew up on classics like Fleetwood Mac, Boston, The Doobie Bros., and then discovered Metallica and Iron Maiden thru his brother and picked up guitar when he was 13. Recently, bands such as HEATSLEEVE, FAVOURITE SONS, DANKO JONES, and MORNINGWOOD have caught his attentio . DCD is for FUN and will continue as long as Mitch is having a good time doing it.Mitch moved to New Jersey in 2002 and he's been writing songs for nearly 4 years and getting them recorded any way he can. Little by little, the full songs are coming together and will soon be ready for performing. With the assistance of Rick, Mike, and Adam from HEATSLEEVE, Mitch's dream of live performance became reality in July of 2005. Currently, Mitch lives in Virginia Beach, and is a member the US Air Force.DCD, aka "drugcausedeath", is a reference to past realities of the author and some of his friends.
