About Me
Colegio San Agustin, located in Dasmarinas Village, Makati City, is a basic education school run by the Order of St. Augustine, a religious congregation which traces its origin back to its illustrious founder, and whose members are properly known as Augustinians. Colegio San Agustin Makati, was established in 1969 by the Provincia Agustiniana del Santissimo Nombre de Jesus de Filipinas and is now the ONLY school in the country run by this Augustinian Province. Auxiliary Bishop Bienvenido Lopez, D.D., blessed the cornerstone of the CSA building on September 1 1968, and ten months later, on July 7, 1969, the school opened its doors to the first enrollees numbering 652. The CSA of today now has a population approximately 7,000+ including faculty and staff. It has been accredited by the PAASCU and given the Grade School Department in 1983, 1986, 1991, 2002 and the High School Department in 1989, 1993, 1998 high marks. Incidentally, the HS dept. is due for resurvey for SY 2003-2004. The effectiveness of our academic programs may be gleaned from high percentile ratings of our students in the NCEE and the NSAT. Our recent rankings back in 2000-2001 for our Grade 6 Students was No. 9 NATIONWIDE while our 4th year students placed No. 13 NATIONWIDE. We have produced leaders and winners in various contests such as the DECS Science Bee, MTAP contest, Caltex Science Quiz, CMLI led contests and have made a name in various sports competitions on the regional, national and international levels. Our alumni boast of positions in leadership in business, government, education and other professional fields. A progressive administration, dedicated faculty and staff, and dynamic studentry have made Colegio San Agustin, a school on the go and an educational institution to be proud of in which one would definitely say....it's CSA FOREVER!
