New York DJ Harry Bellyfonte, was born in Brooklyn and always knew from birth what he would become. As a child, toys didn't interest him. His mother (R.I.P.) would purchase all the latest toys and games each Christmas and they would collectively end up stored inside of a closet. Harry never played with toys, but instead was entertained by listening to the radio. WBLS and Kiss FM were his story books. He always wanted to be a DJ. His initial quest was to be a radio DJ who spoke volumes to a fan base by introducing new records. After realizing he was too shy, he abandoned the verbal aspect and attached himself to the music. You see, Harry was a huge fan of the Kiss Master mixes. While listening intently, he figured out how DJ’s maneuvered the beats and rhymes of records.....

Growing up in Albany Projects, Brooklyn, New York, primarily all of Harry's friends were either rappers or dj's. This influence moved him into becoming "DJ Harry Bellyfonte." When Harry started high school, DJ Scratch (EPMD) introduced him to a DJ he credits tremendously for the success of his career. That DJ is none other than "SUPER DJ CLARK KENT." Clark taught him how to listen to the music thus creating his signature mark. The first thing CLARK KENT said to Harry was, "Just because its' not on the radio doesn't mean it's not good." He told Harry that some of the best recordings won't get airplay. Harry has treasured those sentiments to date. Clark Kent taught him how to count the bars in music; the definition of a hook, how to identify the chorus of a song and finally, "THE BRIDGE." Clark also did something very unique while teaching Harry how to play. He would record tapes asking Harry to listen to them at his leisure so he could better figure out what his musical experience was like. This in turn gave Harry the audiovisuals crucial to not only feeling and hearing the music, but the full scope of Clark Kent’s experience. Clark Kent remains one of the best Party DJ's in America!....

When Harry graduated from high school he embarked on a professional career as a DJ. He performed for basement parties, baby showers, and several other venues. It was not until Clark Kent allowed him to take control of the 1 and 2's playing reggae music at the South Street Seaport in NYC. In fact, it was at "Aaron Hall's Birthday Party" during the summer of 1990. CLARK knew how thirsty Harry was for becoming a full fledged DJ. It was the biggest venue he'd ever played and enabled him a first hand education into the industry. He had no idea what was in store until he arrived at "Sweetwater's." Clark Kent gave Harry the headphones and said, "Do your thing!" Amazingly, that's just what Harry did. Afterwards, Harry remembers Clark Kent responding to rapper Heavy D who asked, "Why don't you let your man play some more reggae?" Clark looked at Heavy D and replied, "Who's the DJ me or you?" Heavy D threw up his hands and walked away! Harry played with Clark a few more times before going at it alone developing his own style along the way.....
.. ..
Harry has played in every venue in NYC since the early 90's before and after the respective name change.....
Harry has had the privilege of perfoming with just about every well known DJ in America.....
Still on the rise and looking for new challenges, Harry recently relocated to Miami to expand his horizons. Before moving to South Florida in January 2007, he played "Hip Hop" & "Dancehall Reggae" with "Soundproof Int'l" in NYC.....
As of July 2007, he resides in Washington, D.C. and has taken on a new moniker, "DJ Willie Dynamite!! Aka "Harry Bellyfonte"....
His experiences make him a well respected DJ in an industry he plans to be in for a very long time.....

Born in Brooklyn, NY DJ Harry Bellyfonte always knew from birth what he would become. As a child toys did'nt interest him. His mother (R.I.P.) would purchase all the latest toys and games every Christmas and they would all end up sitting in the closet. Harry never played with toys, all he did was listen to the radio. WBLS and Kiss FM to be exact. He always wanted to be a DJ. At first to be a radio DJ, talking and introducing new records. Realizing he was too shy for that he cut out all the talking and just played the music. You see Harry was a fan of the Kiss Mastermixes. Listening intently to figure out how the DJ's did such things with those records.
When Harry was 10 years old he was invited to meet his uncle. His name was DJ "Sonny D" and he was a DJ known for playing at Block parties in and around Brooklyn in the 80's. It was the first time Harry ever saw DJ equipment in its entirety. He had everything, two Technic turntables, mixer, amps, preamps, equalizers and the biggest speakers he's ever seen in his life literally because they were genuine 18" Earthquake speakers. Sonny knew Harry was interested in music and wanting to learn how to DJ so he wasted no time teaching him. He taught Harry how to mix two records and bring them back and forth. Once Harry learned how to mix records, he and his friends became the dj's for their sixth, seventh and eighth grade class parties. Harry Bellyfonte grew up in Albany Projects, Brooklyn and just about all of Harry's friends were either rappers or dj's. Influenced by them all, he became both.
When Harry started high school, DJ Scratch (EPMD) introduced him to the one DJ he credits the most when it comes to his career and thats SUPER DJ CLARK KENT. Clark taught him about music and how to listen to it. The first thing he said to Harry was "Just because its not on the radio doesn't mean it's not good." He told him that some of the best records won't get airplay. Harry carries that with him to this day! Clark Kent taught him how to count bars in music and what a hook, chorus and bridge was. Clark also did something very unique while teaching Harry how to play. He would make tapes then tell Harry to listen to them at home and figure out what he did. This in turn gave him an audiovisual that allowed him not only to feel and hear the music, but see the music. Clark Kent to this day is still one of the best Party DJ's in America.
When Harry graduated from high school he turned professional. Until then he was playing basement parties, baby showers, and the like. It wasn't until Clark Kent let him play reggae for him at South Street Seaport (NYC) "Aaron Hall's Birthday Party" summer 1990 is when he knew how badly he wanted to be a DJ. It was the biggest venue he's ever played at until that point and it gave him an education. He had no idea what it would be like until he got to "Sweetwater's." Clark Kent gave Harry the headphones and said "Do your thing!" and he did! Once Harry got off he remembers Clark Kent responding to rapper Heavy D - "Why don't you let your man play some more reggae?" Clark looked at him and said "Who's the DJ me or you?" and Heavy D threw his hands up and walked away!
Harry played with Clark a few more times before going alone, developing his own style along the way. Since the early 90's, Harry has played in every club in NYC and numerous clubs in and out of state with just about every dj. Looking for a new challenge Harry recently relocated to Miami to expand his horizons. Before moving to South Florida January 2007, he played with Soundproof Int'l in NYC. His experience makes him a respected DJ in the industry and he plans to be for a very long time.
