My Interests

Music (playing, listening, finding, hearing in person), photography, painting, sculpting, reading books (as long as they're not Moby Dick), traveling when I can, collecting glass, Egypt, Finland, picking the right shoes, antiquing, driving for a long time, going somewhere out of the way, being hip, wondering whether I should cut my hair or grow it out, saving things I don't need, meeting new people, meeting up with old people, shooting the breeze, crochet, needlework, and I shouldn't be embarassed to say that I like to shop. I like inspecting things and picking out just the right one to come home with me.. Ikea is great for that.

I'd like to meet:

Sufjan Stevens, Ben Folds, all the people I've met and lost contact with, all the people who seem interesting but I'm too shy to say anything to, and really and truly, just about anyone.

Music:

Ben Folds, Beatles, Shins, Elliott Smith, Sufjan Stevens, Flaming Lips, Beck, Green Day, Clash, Cure, Cranberries, Nick Drake, The Who, Joanna Newsom, and so much more.

Movies:

It's hard to remember! Star Wars, Lord of the Rings, The Big Lebowski, Harry Potter, the A&E six-hour version of Pride and Prejudice, I Heart Huckabees, Master & Commander, etc. etc.

Television:

I don't watch much TV, unless I actually do.. it comes in spurts. I like House, Project Runway, Design on a Dime, Divine Design, Landscapers' Challenge, Mission Organization, Birth Day, nature programs, other things. I also like Adoption Stories!

Books:

Many, many. It's enough to say that I read a lot and I enjoy lots of different styles (excepting, of course, the modern-day female angst writers - growing up in the suburbs isn't so bad, grow up and suck it up).
