About Me

About Red Cassette
Before i get started i would just like to say that MySpace deleted my front cover image because it was deemed 'sexually explicit' if like MySpace you are offended by art i have now posted a censored version to keep you all safe from this undying evil that is pencil on paper. Go back to sleep world you are safe for another day...........
Red Cassette is a person. A person who writes and performs music, in the song vernacular. A person who performs to people who want to listen, and often to people who don't.
Since travelling with a group of 16th century minstrels and learning the craft of 'meta-story' telling. He performed daily across several countries with accompaniment from the rest of the minstrels. It was an exciting time for him, as he larnt new skills and met many new people and had wonderful adventures. But as with all stories it had to end evenually with the goup disbanding. The group had taught him all he needed and the time came to move on, and to find pastures new. He decided to go it alone. Walking for miles each day, travelling from village to village , he would sing his 'meta-stories' to the village people. Some village folk would not enjoy the fruits of his heartfelt labour and would refuse to listen, discarding it as ordinary. This never deterred the singer and he kept on day to day performing and writing.
After many years of playing to people this person new this was his calling, and no matter how measly the pickings were and how few the rewards he would battle on, battle against the people who had no time for him, battle on against the struggle of financial stability and do the best he could with what he had: The Gift of Music. For he realised he was merely a vessel to carry the drink, and be ready for people to sip from and taste the flavour of what he did. So, now you place your lips to the edge of the glass, it may not be the nicest crystal wine glass in the world, but its an honest one. Tip it and let the drink pour into your mouth, just to see what its like.

The thing that inspires me the most is being able to create anything i want to, and never giving myself any boundaries to exist within (concerning my art/music), and most of all not care what other people think of the things i create. All of the above plus whats missing are/is very important to me and i hope i never lose any of it/them be it physically or in rememberence.
