3rd Degree Beats- located in Paterson NJ,specializing in hiphop,b&b,club,reggae and house beats. Production Profile: Crazy Beats! It started in 1984, when the son of a dancer and a singer/writer; born in the projects on Staten Island NY, Ruined his first turntable needle, but continuous rubbing of the record back and forth- wooka wooka… As a child he listened to DJ Red alert on Kiss FM, on a small radio supplied by his big brother (even though he was supposed to be in bed- resulting in various ass whoopings. As the years moved on through the 80’s, Young Maxlayback, idolized Hip-hop stars and dj’s… Maxlayback won his first beat battle in the first grade. His instrument-the table. He would continue to shock his friends and peers with interesting table beats as well as the beat box. (His beat boxing was highly sought after for local street battles) This continued through out grade school into middle school, until he finally got some real d.j. equipment. Maxlayback went on to D.j. parties on Staten Island, under the moniker dj N-ice, with two other supporters, launching Don Juan Productions. Maxlayback moved to Paterson NJ in 1991, bringing the Don Juan Production name along with him. Max attended Eastside high school, and was introduced to the marching band, where he joined as a drummer and hooked up with various members of F.O.B., headed by Just Blaze (or Just-1 as he was called then) Under the tutelage of Blaze, Maxlayback improved his disk jockey abilities and assisted in dj at Skaters W World, along side Just brother Pou’n and Mall Do. Maxlayback went on to attend I.A.R., music production school, where he earned the name 3rd Degree. After, a brief time in Norfolk VA creating tracks for various local artists, Max moved back to Paterson NJ, to continue where he has left off.
