In no particular order: Advising my beautiful girlies - they are the lights of my life, music, good books, awesome people, excuses to travel anywhere, airports (I love that feeling just before you take a trip somewhere!), laughing til my sides hurt, dancing for the sheer joy of it, rocking out to a live band in a small venue at loud decibels, making people laugh, sticking the landing, river dancing, running, watching the grass grow on a sunny day, bonfires on the beach with friends, sharing dessert, singing out loud in my car, seeing things through someone else's eyes, writing, taking lots and lots of pictures, stimulating conversations over a good meal and plenty of good beer/alcohol, playing with my goddaughters, cousins' kids, and friends' kids, trying new things with the right people, reconnecting with old friends, making new friends, smiling at strangers, making someone's day, partying at the house with the musician friends because it means drinking and guitar playing and singing off-key (I love you guys!), practicing random acts of kindness and senseless beauty... I think that about covers it...

Music is the soundtrack to life, and you need a little bit of everything to make it all come together! That being said, some of my personal faves are: Metallica, Depeche Mode, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, AudioSlave, Green Day, Johnny Cash, The Killers, The Dixie Chicks, Korn, The Cure, George Strait, Alice in Chains, Sound Garden, Guns and Roses, Ozomatli, Natasha Bedingfield... all sorts of one hit wonders from the 80s and random ass songs that you hear on the radio and say, "Hey! I LOVE THAT SONG!" I also LOVE local music... my very favorite local band? The Almighty Grind, of course! They're my brothas from anotha motha! Also check out Interstate Nine. Their singer is amazing!
The Princess Bride; Mulan; LOTR - the whole trilogy; In America; Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon; Clerks; Mall Rats; Chasing Amy; Clerks II; Finding Neverland; Goonies; Sixteen Candles; Harold and Kumar Go to White Castle; Wedding Crashers; Breakfast Club; Pirates of the Carribean; Chronicles of Narnia; History of the World, Part I; Monty Python and the Holy Grail... I could go on forever...
CSI (all of them), Miami Ink, Without a Trace, Cold Case... do you sense a theme? I hardly have enough time to watch TV though... eh.
My two favorite books of all time are by Mitch Albom - "Tuesdays with Morrie" and "The Five People You Meet in Heaven." I am forever changed by this man's words. I also love stuff by Amy Tan, Sandra Cisneros, Studs Terkel, Maxine Hong Kingston, Richard Wright, and Shakespeare, but I'll read just about anything and everything.
