Music, news geek blogs (mostly right of center), anything in the mountains, good food, good beer (no bud, coors, etc). I enjoy spending time with my family. I enjoy going to see live music, usually blues or folk based. (love Ruben V but don't get to see him anymore)
RUBEN V, pretty much anything blues, the Clumsy Lovers, Willie Nelson, Bob Schneider, Ear Food Orchestra, Robert Earl Keene, Gipsy Kings (their new album, Roots, is amazing), Stevie Ray Vaughn, Clapton (sorry Ruben) B.B. King, Texas Tornadoes.... The list is wide and varied. Along with the above list, good classical, classic rock, U2 (they are gods to me) The Cranberries, Sting, Nora Jones, Nickel Creek.......
Crash, Oh Brother Where Art Thou?, Monty Python's Holy Grail
I have lately been reading Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time series, when I have a chance. My latest major project was Stephen Kings "Darktower" series, which was absolutely amazing. I usaully read for escapism, not enlightenment, so my reading list is a little shallow. I have read nearly everything by Grisham and Crichton, much of Stephen King's work, though certainly not all. I have read Lord of The Rings twice, as well as most of Asimovs body of work, and a fair amount of Heinlien. The best book I have ever read is Ray Bradbury's "Dandelion Wine." That book left a permanent imprint on my soul. Next on my recommendations is "Three Cups of Tea." Fantastic book about an amazing man.
