About Me

I've relocated to Quantico, VA for an internship from March until September. Where's Quantico? Remember when Jodie Foster was running through the obstacle course at the beginning of Silence of the Lambs? That's Quantico. If that doesn't help, its about 30 minutes south of Washington DC.
I'm the weirdest person I know...and I love that. I am still trying to figure myself out. The older I get, the less I seem to know. I love the sound of the rain falling while inside a car. I like beer a lot. Music has saved me more than once. I love watching the sun rise. Self-control is overrated. Randomness and spontaneity is everything. I've decided that my neverending search is finding out what I'm searching for. Love is the answer. Love is a crock of shit. I like beer a lot. Time flies when you're having fun. I've had a lot of fun. The harder I work, the more I want to play. If I could see into the future, I'd close my eyes. Superstition may seem silly, but I like having luck on my side. I will never quit. I drive better than you. There are two seperate brows, thank you. I hate my boss. I like making up new words. I hate posers. Secrets are fun. According to the chinese horoscope, I'm a dragon. I believe it. Sunlight hurts my eyes. Pepsi over coke, baby. I like beer a lot. The answer is out there. I just wish I knew the question. I hate skaters. I'm not a skater. I love seafood. If I were a pokemon, I'd be Snorlax. I take stairs two steps at a time. Silence is stronger than words. I fear nothing. Really. I hate ants. And birds for that matter. Dancing is medicine for the soul. Chivalry is not dead. I love trying something new. I mentioned how much I like beer, right?

Welcome home 5th PSC

5th arrived last night at 2220. It was funny to see the looks on their faces. Each bus looked like it was filled with lost, scared fish. I wonder if that's how we looked when we arrived here. It's too...

Twenty three days left

Twenty three days left...or so. It's funny. When we first got here conversations were about life back at home. Girlfriends, wives, girlfriends and wives, work, and school. After being on post with the...

What day is it?

I feel like Bill Murray in Ground Hog's Day. Everyday I wake up and do the exact same thing, in the same order, with the same people wearing the same clothes. It seems as though I've been saying, "Two...

The little things

It's the little things about this place that are driving me insane. Not the heat, nor the 'fuck fuck' games that my section leader likes to play. Not the chow that seems to be on a three day rotation....

Hump Day

"But, but...I thought Wednesday was hump day." Yeah, but today was 4th PSC's hump day. I did some work with the numbers, and today marks the halfway point before we head back home. That's if we leave ...

The locusts

I dunno if its locust season, or just a fluke of nature...but the locusts have arrived. Hundreds of thousands of them, if not millions. They're everywhere. In the head, showers, on post, inside the cl...

Devil's Gate

The last two days have been the hottest days since I've been in Africa. Camp Lemonier peaks at about 120°, with a low of 95° at 0400. Its heaven inside my hooch right now at a nice AC 84°. It's comple...

Back to the wire

The course is over, and I'm back on the wire. It's good to be back. At times. Well, not really. It sucks. After two days, its already become mundane and routine. After the battle course and graduation...

The green belt test

The final test of the course. Belt tests are a little nerve racking. You stand up there, alone, in front of black belt instructor trainer and he calls out techniques for you to execute. I shouldn't sa...

The island

Today started off with a motovational hump. This hump wasn't like usual humps...pack, flak, kevlar, rifle. This was a nature walk. Just day packs with an extra set of cammies. A very light load. We hi...
