Inphynit is the moniker chosen by hip hop poet Marlon Carey. The name represents Carey's unlimited talent and boundless energy. It reflects his world view. Possibilities for peace, art and performance. All limitless. All infinite. Inphynit is not an artist you can easily box in and categorize. He is part emcee, part singer, part actor, partly metal, partly real...kidding about those last two. Inphynit is basically an attempt to merge what has been separate parts of his identity. Marlon doesn't make a habit of showing up at hip hop shows and rocking the crowd. Inphynit doesn't generally sign up to read poetry on the open mic, but both have criss-crossed on enough occasions that there was a bit of an identity crisis. If you asked Marlon, he'd say that he hates his regular life and would rather be Inphynit. If you asked Inphynit, he'd say "f--k it, I just wanna be onstage" So come roll with us as we bring forth a new kind of artist.
