There's more than coal hiding in the hills of West Virginia. Born the daughter of a multi-generation coalminer, at the early age of 14 Nikki Cole was already getting noticed by some big names in Music City.
With some help of some good friends including Grammy Award Winning recording artist Linda Davis, and Allisongs producer Jim Allison, Nikki was opening up for some of the top acts in country music including, Confederate Rail Road, John Michael Montgomery, Cletus T Judd, Tracy Byrd, and many others. With a huge voice well beyond her years and a personality as down home as it gets, Nikki worked her way into the hearts of not only West Virginian's but people across the nation and the world.
She moved to Nashville when she turned 20 to pursue her dreams in Music City USA. Nikki Cole’s first album was produced by Jim Allison of Allisongs and Aria Records. Now 24, Nikki has been focusing on her songwriting while growing and maturing as an artist and as a person.
In the studio she completes work quickly and effectively often completing vocal tracks and her own harmony tracks within an hour. She is an asset to any producer she works with.
On stage she is energetic and engaging, bringing the audience to their feet. Her songwriting has developed into a combination of old country influenced by her upbringing and a new, contemporary, country feel. One can spot a song influenced by Nikki Cole, by the contemporary sound flavored with a bit of steel, fiddle and dobro. Nikki is a natural both in the studio and on stage. When combined with her songwriting skills, she is the total package!
