About Me

I am an actor with a resume of over 50 shows which I am very proud of. Over the years, I have played such roles as LM in PUMP BOYS AND DINETTES, Hans/Sailor/Maitre'D in CABARET, Ellard in THE FOREIGNER (twice), the Telephone Man in BAREFOOT IN THE PARK, Fred in A CHRISTMAS CAROL, Lionel Toop in SEE HOW THEY RUN, the King in BIG RIVER, Seymour in LITTLE SHOP OF HORRORS (twice), Woof in HAIR, Wally in THE 1940'S RADIO HOUR (twice), Frankie in FOREVER PLAID, Francis in LA CAGE AUX FOLLES, Mr. Hartley/Mr. Widener in TITANIC, Mortimer in THE FANTASTICKS, Jack in INTO THE WOODS (twice), Jesus in GODSPELL, Zebulon in JOSEPH...DREAMCOAT, Nicely-Nicely in GUYS AND DOLLS, Barnaby in HELLO DOLLY, Buddy in THE DIVINERS, and Frank in ANNIE GET YOUR GUN. My first professional show was playing Winthrop in an Equity production of THE MUSIC MAN, featuring John Davidson as Harold Hill.

I also write music. I have written about 40 songs. I play 7 instruments: piano, guitar, harmonica, ukulele, banjo, upright bass, and accordion. Check out www.youtube.com/mws51581. That has many songs, and many more to come. Here is one of my videos.

I am a happy new husband to Emily. She is my first friend on my friends list. We are expecting a little bundle of joy to arrive January 20th. Our first.

The Beatles, Billy Joel, Elton John, Bruce Springsteen, the Barenaked Ladies, Ben Folds, Dave Matthews Band, Bruce Hornsby, Counting Crows, musical theatre.

Movies:

Pulp Fiction, Mulholland Drive, American Beauty, U-Turn, Planes Trains and Automobiles, The Shawshank Redemption, Rain Man, the Back to the Future trilogy (especially part 2), the Indiana Jones trilogy, and a recent favorite is The Devil's Rejects.

Television:

The Simpsons, American Idol, Whose Line..., Beavis and Butthead, Inside the Actor's Studio, Dawson's Creek.

Books:

The Virgin Suicides (my favorite book ever), The Catcher in the Rye (the best book I ever had to read - it moved me while at the same time made me laugh out loud at points)

Heroes:

Billy Joel, Bruce Springsteen, several local actor/directors too numerous to mention.
