Emcee / Vocalist / Writer / Purveyor of the Spoken Word
Since 2000 I’ve been in about 5 different groups. Some haven’t gotten past the practice stage, and some get me noticed in public, but I’ve loved them all, no matter how far we went with it.Through it all I’ve had an almost unhealthy desire to take it to the next level, always moving forward, always pushing, and that’s probably been the cause of much of my heartache and breakups. With the groups and my personal relationships.Living in a small town in West Virginia doesn’t give you many opportunities when it comes to…well, anything.Anything I, or anyone else from here, has made for themselves came from hard work and faith in what they loved. Learning from an early age that you get nothing handed to you, I’ve put the D.I.Y. ethic into all parts of my life, especially my music. One consistency in all the groups I’ve been in is that we’ve always been different, a little off from what was going on around us, but in a good way. From straight old school beat box and emceeing in my first group 3F.D.A., to
Horror themed rap/rock in Bombanation, it’s always been an eclectic mix.
Most recently a hybrid of indie rock and live instrumentation hip-hop has been the make up for the songs in Westerberg High.
After many years of filling up notebooks with my bad scribbling, I believe I’ve finally figured out how to write a decent song or two. Together with my partner in crime, Swamp Rat, we have pieced together the tracks for my first solo recording, "Appalachian Folk-Hop".
As always I’m ready and willing to do whatever I have to do to make my music and my dreams come alive. Time to get to work!
