Defining creativity as “thinking outside of the box while not thinking at all, just following your heart and ignoring your mind”, [sic] is this generation’s renaissance artist. Short for “Classic”, he takes his name from the grammatical symbol for an intended mistake because the sounds that he effortlessly meshes together are so contradictory that people assume it must have been a mistake; no one could possibly do something so creative on purpose. [sic] is uninfluenced by today’s predictable trends and creates most of his beats from scratch, no sampling here.
From a pre-school crooner to a modern day producer, [sic] has cultivated a collection of musical knowledge that surpasses most veterans in the music industry. He began singing at age four, played the clarinet through junior high, became a lyricist in high school, and is currently being classically trained in a diverse selection of music. Brooklyn born and Queens raised, [sic] was a music phenom at Manhattan’s Talent Unlimited High School and has been actively recording and practicing music for over 13 years. He started to take his production career serious in 2006 with only a Triton keyboard and further honed his skills as an intern at Patchwerk Recording Studios while attending Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, Georgia. [sic], real name Kervins Chauvet, recently graduated with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing and is currently the Marketing Coordinator for Patchwerk Recording Studios. He credits his success thus far to his incredible business savvy matched with an abundance of creative ideas and strategies.
[sic]’s musical style can be described as a collaborative melody of paradoxical sounds into a cohesive package. It is a hip-hop sound teamed with R&B and classical, influenced by house and electronic. [sic] creates a dramatic story with every song as he rides symphonic strings over a reverberating bass line leaving you with a smooth yet energetic resonance. He is committed to doing whatever it takes to establish a true connection with the listener through his music as he states, “I will typically write, rap, sing, (shoot) I may even be-bob…creating a great and unique final product is the goal”.
