Sen aka KHMER, host of the only nation-wide NZ hip hop radio show, www.kiwifm.co.nz, is a music and street culture documentor, New Zealand ambassador, sitting currently as the UNESCO (United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organisation) New Zealand Culture Sub-Commissioner, public relations and urban media consultant. He has advised government departments, city councils, international development organisations, recording & media industry and the corporate sector. His roots in hip hop came from his home city of Wellington, Aotearoa/New Zealand, growing up as an inner city kid, rocking the streets. His first attraction was to the turntables and the art of DJ battles, this opened the music and funk attitude that allowed him to progress his knowledge to the dance style known as b-boying. After pioneering New Zealand's first hip hop magazine - Back2Basics - at the age of 19, Sen has been involved in the development and advocation of urban youth and hip hop culture, in New Zealand and internationally.
