About Me

Bottom Line Up Front: DJ Tagg is splendid DJ and plays really good rap music.
Originally from Houston, TX, Tagg started traveling the world when his mother joined the Air Force in 1986. Having listened to hip hop music off and on, he moved to Tokyo Japan in 1990 where he became immersed in the hip hop culture that dominated his school and the city around him. Getting into the music from an outside culture (being overseas), he began listening to artists from all over the US and world, rather than defining his taste by any coast or genre. In the late 90s while living in Seattle with a roommate who DJed; Tagg found his own love for the turntables. He quickly began learning to spin records as well as how to spend all of his money on them. He began spinning with his roommate at house parties and the rest is history. After joining the Air Force himself in 1999, he moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico in 2000 where he took off. He began spinning at New Mexicos legendary Vinyl and Verses in 2003 and was the resident DJ by the end of that year. He also worked with local promoters such as Slo Motion entertainment as the opening DJ for numerous concerts, events, and tours that came through New Mexico. He ended up in Macon, Georgia for four years after completing an Air Force scholarship program at The College of Santa Fe and University of New Mexico. There he could be caught rockin' Friday nights at Club Envy in downtown Macon with the Black Card DJs - DJ Roger Riddle & Dirt Dog; plus the monthly Black Card Party at the Tic Toc Room, in addition to various events throughout Macon and in ATL. He played the Southeast's prominent rap festival - A3C in 2006. He recently moved to Tucson, Arizona and is in preparation to get back down with the Southwest... In addition to DJing, Tagg does production on his MPC 2000 and has even been known to rock the mic on occasion
Artists worked with: Opened concerts and shared the stage with Kanye West, Cassidy, Young Gunz, Dilated Peoples, TechNyne, Jin, MOP, People Under the Stairs, Pharoah Monche, Main Flow, Binary Star, Time Machine, J-Live, and tons more national, regional, and local acts.
DJ Tagg will rock it like that...
