Hannaleigh aimlessly walked through the streets of Hogsmeade. It wasn't a scheduled school trip, no, hanna had skivved off potions; again. It was routine for her, only attending class about once a week. She was a terrible potion maker, she always had been. But, she hadn't come to Hogsmeade to think about potions. She had merely come to try and escape the prying eyes, and the unwanted I'm Sorry's. She was coping well with the fact that her father was killed, which was a bit more than she could say for her sister, Malia. Malia had been daddy's little girl. Hanna had been the rebel, the problem child. She would never know the joy of being daddy's favorite. Nor would she understand exactly how much he loved her.
My name is Hannaleigh Notting. I'm a seventh year Slytherin at Hogwarts, though, I must admit I don't exactly belong in Slytherin. Sure, I can be a bit moody at times, and I'm a bit full of myself, but if anyone belongs in Slytherin, it should have been my mother. She was a Ravenclaw in school, but she ended up turning to the Dark Side and becoming a Death Eater. But enough about my mum.
I'm the eldest of two kids. My younger sister, Malia, is a sixth year Ravenclaw, and probably next in line for Head Girl. My sister probably inherited 75% of our mother's 'smart genes'. I'm horrible in Potions and Herbology. I really don't care about plants. I do well enough in Transfiguration, but I'm really good at Charms.
My best friend is Taryn Flynn, whose the daughter of my mum's best friend, and Death Eater mentor, Lumariel Flynn. Her husband, Ethan, was a Death Eater too. Taryn's in Slytherin, like me, but I think it's only because she's ambitious, and a pure blood. My mum is the head of the Department of International Magical Cooperation, and my dad owns his own clothing shop in Diagon Alley. I, on the other hand, want to become either a professional Quidditch Player (I'm a beater on the house team) or a musician. I can play guitar, a little piano, a little drums, and I can sing. (I do the last one the best).
