About Me

An eclectic musician, songwriter, and composer, Richard travels through many musical worlds.

Born in Greenwich Village, New York City, he is a graduate of both the Berklee College of Music and The Boston Conservatory. His performances in jazz, pop, and classical, have ranged from the New York Somegwriter Cirlce to Boston Symphony Hall.

Performances of his music include the Oscar-Nominated American Boychoir, and members of the Boston Symphony and Boston Pops. As a conductor, composer, and performer, he has appeared on numerous live radio broadcasts in addition to concert performances in Europe.

As an artist, Richard released the European pop single, "Grana" which he co-produced with Italian songwriter/musician Marco Facchin. Recent live and studio collaborations include the international artist, "Jazzid."

He has also been commissioned and published numerous vocal and orchestral works.

These diverse experiences, allow Richard to experience radical differences in how people understand music how differently they understand their own lives or each other. These complex, and sometimes messy emotions drive his writing. From struggle and personal darkness emerges a universal light of love and understanding.

Growing up in Long Island, NY, he began a lifelong friendship with producer/musician/songwriter, Paul Umbach. Paul has proven to be one of the most profound influences on Richard’s musical expression. Richard also continues to collaborate with gifted artists from every walk of musical life.
