In the midst of a new rap game, another product of the Crescent City is set to make his mark in the industry. LYRICAL started his rap career over a decade ago as a young child. "My grandmother was the first person I ever wrote poetry with and that's how it all started", says LYRICAL. After listening to the legendary rap group NWA, he noticed that rap and poetry was one in the same. He wanted to take his talent for writing poetry and create his own style of rapping. His grandmother didn't only introduce him to rap through poetry, but influenced him to use his talent to become somebody. He started to establish himself as a performer by way of local night club appearances and in 1999 opening for platinum-recording artist Juvenile, of Cash Money/ Universal Records. With great influence and inspiration, LYRICAL developed a style that can be described as flawless. It is rough, raw, concise, meaningful, energetic, and from the soul. It is a direct reflection of his day to day struggle living in the streets of Eastern New Orleans. LYRICAL is the perfect fusion of substance and style.
