About Me

I'm a writer whose first teen book, PLAN B (MTV Books) came out in March 2006. I used to live outside Chicago, but I recently moved back to the Boston area because I've always been a New Englander at heart - which is why I'll take a slice of NY pizza over deep dish any day. Although PLAN B takes place in Chicago, my second teen book, THE BOOK OF LUKE, takes place outside Boston (of course, the main character moved there from Chicago, so I got the best of both worlds).I graduated from a women's college (Smith), so my main characters are always part kick-ass chick, part A-type personality. It makes them so much more interesting (at least I'd like to hang out with them). In addition to writing as Jenny O'Connell for my teen books, I also write as Jennifer O'Connell for my adult books. this layout is from whateverlife.com!
