Add to My Profile | More Videos I moved to Tucson from San Francisco in late August 2006. This area is VERY different. Am still trying to find my 'grounding' in this part of the world.
I believe in a higher power. Yet find myself discouraged with many of those who practice organized religion. My oldest daughter called to share a bumper sticker she had read while driving; it said, "God is bigger than your religion." I believe that we're all connected and that no one's belief system holds more credience than another's...in the big sceam. To the best of my humble ability, I try to understand others' view points though do not always agree.
I read a posting in early 2007 on a Yahoo Group that I belong to that continues to resonate with me AND has changed my life: "....But if everyone in the world gives up because they are just one person, nothing will ever be done." Sometimes one can hear something over-and-over again, and that ONE time that you hear it ~ perhaps a different way ~ you finally get it and it changes your life.
I adore the arts and also adore those who pursue their gifts. My youngest daughter (I have two daughters in total) is a gifted artist who is presently persuing a degree in the fine arts. She has a beautiful voice as well.
My background includes a B.S. in Business Management and minors in pre-pharmacology and music conducting and composition. Studied piano, voice (I caused hearing loss with this one), French horn, guitar, drums, the carillon (bell tower) as well as a few others.
Some of my best attributes (I think...though am always open to correction) are intelligence, humor and playfulness. I'd like to think that I'm fairly balanced in the left and right brain. I love to laugh and tease. I try to see the light side of all situations.
Also creativity, ingenuity and originality. Thinking of new ways to do things is a crucial part of who I am and am never content with doing something the conventional way if a better way is possible.
