I am here for Friends

About Me

Hi, my name's Jon. I am obsessed with music - mostly punk, hardcore, hip-hop, and ska. I play guitar in a band called Obstruction. I'm also a major collector of vinyl, and I've been a vegetarian for four years. I graduated from Appalachian State University in May 2005 with a degree in secondary education and a concentration in history, and then proceeded to teach two years in Charlotte. I'm now a graduate student at UNC-Charlotte. I have several tattoos and I'm beginning to think I'm addicted. I don't smoke, but I do enjoy a cold beer. I'm a nerd - I watch the History Channel and I read a lot of books (preferably 20th century American literature). I believe in God but I am not a Christian. For those of you who can't seem to comprehend how you can believe in God but not be a Christian.. look up the word DEIST. And go read a book while you're at it.
I am also very progressive when it comes to political issues, and I can pwn anyone who challenges me on it. Just read my blogs.
