Misanthropy.
Science books. Booze. Plaid. Pissing people off. Messy hair. Messy room. Messy house. I don't remember the last time I took out the trash. I'm a friggin' dirtball, for real. I'm incredibly indecisive, I usually sleep too much, I'm consistently discontented during the winter, I hate break-ups (even when other couples break up), I don't do my laundry very often, and I'm an irresponsible fuck. I don't follow through with anything. I'm a cynical little shit.
I want to speak Spanish. I'm considering working in an orphanage in Peru next summer. Guitars, pianos, harmonicas and violins are the best sounds in the world to me (especially harmonicas). These are my only redeeming qualities.
People who live their lives the way they see fit and just don't give a fuck otherwise. Those who think for themselves and question authority. Individuals with conspiracy theories. People who appreciate their circumstances and are aware of the injustices that are being served to the majority of the world behind our backs so that we may live "happily." Also, people who aren't okay with that. Those who inspire change. And...someone who will teach me to speak Spanish fluently.
Let's see. Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Metric, Elliott Smith, Smashing Pumpkins, Dead Kennedys, Leftover Crack, Spoon, The Breeders, The Pixies, CCR, Bob Dylan, Ani Difranco, Cat Power, Modest Mouse, M.I.A., Nirvana, Arcade Fire, Sigur Ros, The Beatles, Radiohead, Fiona Apple, Death From Above, Fourtet, Fugazi, Le Tigre, Tom Waits, Tori Amos, Eric Clapton, uhhhh. You know. And everything else in between.
Donnie Darko, Empire Records, Waking Life, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, Kill Bill 1 and 2, Pulp Fiction, Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, The Big Lebowski, Amelie, High Fidelity, Mallrats, A Clockwork Orange, Ghost World, Pan's Labrynth, True Romance, American Splendor, But I'm a Cheerleader, all the good ones. I need someone to make me watch movies. I haven't even seen Back to the Future and a friend had to set me down and make me watch Star Wars for the first time two years ago. So.
Documentaries. Cosby. Daria. Ren and Stimpy. Wonder Showzen. Daily Show. Colbert. 90's music videos. Educational television. Actually, I never watch TV.
Anything on theoretical physics, space, time, philosophy, history (I'm currently reading "Lies My Teacher Told Me" by James Loewen----finally!), art history, current events, politics and music. I pretty much just want to know everything. And I can't stand fiction (usually, anyway. There are exceptions to this rule).
P.S. Kurt Vonnegut Jr. had my birthday. How sweet does that make me?
