Fa$t Money is a Bronx/Harlem, New York City born rapper. While growing up a in the ever so violent neighborhood of 730 Garden St, Fa$t Money got his wake up call at a young age like most who grew up in the ghetto. Guns, Drugs and Prostitution is what he saw while most played with toys. The thing which separates this rapper from others is how he's never been stuck in one place for a long time. From the Bronx to Harlem to Maryland to Texas El Paso and even Germany this rapper has re-defined the word "Travel". Giving a title for his life's trips he calls it "Ghetto International Greener Pastures" as he feels he's one of the lucky few in life to have lived/experienced the Ghetto, Overseas and a Green Lawn.
Always being an excellent writer; poems, songs. Fa$t Money didn't begin to write rhymes until age 14. It started out as a hobby and two weeks later was a craft that this Bronx rapper took serious. His influences range from 2Pac to Jay-Z to Fabolous, Ludacris, Shyne and even Nelly. When asked why he put Nelly in his top influences Fa$t Money responds by saying "He makes great songs, you can't take that away from Nelly". Fa$t Money has been married to music since age 8 in which he would operate on his broken radio cords just to hear Notorious B.I.G. on Hot 97 back in the early 90s. Fa$t Money is one of the most versatile rappers you will come across. This rapper does not limit his ability, he is able to write and spit about anything. The reason it's easy is because this rapper has been through hell fire and brimstone in life and speaking the truth on beats is not difficult.
In 01, Fa$t Money met a Harlem rapper who goes by the name Young Mooch. Young Mooch formed the rap group Hated World Wyde and the members are Fedel, Vars and Flyyboyy. Fa$t Money and Hated World Wyde have a deep-deep history together and have recorded many studio tracks together. In 02 the whole group was featured on the public access show "Freestyle Kingz" including Fa$t Money.
In 02, Fa$t Money met North Bronx rapper and good friend Kennie Dubb who at that time formed a rap group called "N.B.Y.G. (North Bronx Young Gunners) both rappers have done songs with each other and both are featured on their street albums respectively.
In 03, Fa$t Money met Young Core CEO of Wingstone Clothing. 04 was the grand-opening of Fa$t Money and his lyrical talents. Young Core introduced Fa$t Money to many people who did music and or loved music. Core set up battles and studio sessions has he also began to shape and mold the rapper. One day, Fa$t Money was asked to rap in his High Schools hallway. He did just that and from that point on the rest was history. From street battles to studio sessions it seemed it all had begun to go upwards for rapper Fa$t Money. A memory which stands out is when a rapper "Gift" came to their school. The rapper was signed with Universal Records and he spit in the auditorium. Everyone who knew Fa$t Money rapped thought it would be a good idea if he battled the kid who was "SIGNED". Fa$t Money did that and ate the kid for breakfast, lunch and dinner... The kid he battled was never heard from again. The kids manager gave Fa$t Money a card to contact him but Fa$t Money never contacted the manager, things seemed fake from the jump.
In 04/05 Fa$t Money released his first street/solo album titled "Independence" which consisted of hard beats, creative lyrics and a rookie flow unmatched. Independence is Fa$t Money's first solo project and features strong songs like Still Go On, Hood Stories Pt 1, and Oooo produced by Flyyboyy.
Years later Fa$t Money's resume continues to grow. He continues to work with upcoming unsigned artists. DJs and Promotion companies and the lists is as follows. This year Fa$t Money is going to release his second mixtape. The highly anticipated street album "The Domino Effect". It's been about two years since his first release and this rapper has grown so much lyrically, physically, mentally and spiritually. Now considered a college dropout for reasons very different from Kanye West's, this rapper is now at the pinnacle of his life and is learning exactly what the world is like the hard way. Nothing will stop the grind and hard work he's putting into this street album everything will go as planned. The lead summer single "Swaggarific" has gotten a good response from his fans and already has 940 plus plays on his myspace music page. Other strong songs to look out for are "Ghetto Planes", "Like This Like That (club banger) and "Take It Back" in which Fa$t Money talks about issues that the young generation, females and older generation face everyday while growing up in what we called "The Hood".
If Fa$t Money were Ms. Cleo he would say "My hard work pays off". The fans want something new. Yes, the industry knows how to make money but they should also listen to the fans once in a while and take chances. Not every risk will turn out bad. Fa$t Money is now looking for a manager, guidance and an outlet to dish out his futuristic lyrics. He knows he can be a force to be reckoned with if given a chance in the music industry. He already has a fanbase which grows every week he also and continues to put comedic videos up for his You tube audience. From the hood and for the hood and been to many many other hoods, burbs, avenues, blocks... this rapper is not only book smart but street smart this rapper is not only a rapper but someone who knows how to mingle with blend in with anybody he comes across. They say the proof is in the pudding.
