Messengers Of God

The Messengers of God Organization is a community of Gospel Rap Ministers and supporters on the West Coast that have come together to expand the Gospel Rap Movement. The organization was originally founded in early 2004. The MOG was originally set up as an offline community based in Los Angeles CA, and began by holding monthly meetings to discuss the current state and events of Gospel Rap. After a few local chapter meetings, events and song collaborations, the MOG went on hiatus while each founding member went on to work more closely with their personal ministries. In May of 2005 we began to rebuild the concept of the MOG with a bigger and broader vision than he originally started with. The MOG ministry and website became a major priority and was pushed to the forefront in production. After speaking with many other artists and ministers on the West Coast and all of them expressing the same concern that lack of unity was one of the major areas of concern with the Gospel Rap movement in LA, we recognized a need for Gospel Rap ministers to organize themselves in a better fashion and to support one another on a more serious and consistent basis in order for their ministries and the movement to get to the next level. It is believed by our members that once West Coast Gospel Rappers can unite under Christ as an organization that effectivly speaks the language of the youth, then they can move forward into the streets to save many more souls for Christ on a nationwide level. It is also believed that if Gospel Rappers can not come together to support one another and if our current supporters are not willing or able to grow with us to the next level then the movement will only be as big as an individual Gospel Rapper can be. Our Online community launched officially in January 2006. In 2006 we intend to organize events & concerts as well as tours, and community outreach ministries. One of our immediate goals is to set up and organize a Gospel Rap Conference in the Southern California area where ministers and supporters can all come together in person and share ideas on the Gospel Rap Movement without paying outrageous fees for registration as charged by some of the other organizations that hold conferences and "include" Gospel Rap in the format mainly for the purpose of generating more income for their event.WHO CAN JOIN? The MOG is comprised of Rappers/Emcees, Producers, Booking Agents, Promoters, Radio Announcers, TV Show Hosts, Pastors, Bishops and of course Gospel Rap supporters. Basicly, anyone who has a love for God & Jesus Christ and a Love for Gospel Rap or Holy Hip Hop music and a desire to take it to the next level can join.
