I'm a 37 year old hairstylist on the northside of chicago. I've been a hairstylist for 13 years now. I'm also a mother and a wife. I'm from a large family. I'm the 5th child of 9. I love life.I love to laugh. I believe in living every second to the fullest. I do not have a particular religion, but if i were to describe my beliefs or put a title on them, i would have to describe them as Unitarian/Universalist. It's very hard, because to title it, i feel would almost limit me.I'm often asked what am i, and i usually tell people i don't have a religion. The next question is, Do you believe in God? Of course i believe in God, more than you know. That is the reason I do not have a religion. Because i believe in God, and i don't want to exclude anyone or anything. To chose one way would exclude a lot of people and a lot of things. I am into reading a lot. I love non-fiction books. I love to read spiritual material. My favorite authors are Neale donald Walsch, Brian Weiss,Eckhart Tolle, James Redfield, Dalai Lama. Through these books, the authors remind me of who i truly am, these books often remind me on how divine we all are and how magnificient God is. I live my life knowing that i will not be judged for anything that i do. I realize that God loves me unconditionally, that means no matter what. Wow! Knowing that, there is nothing that i can do or nothing anyone can do to me that can cause me not to forgive. I went to a retreat last year in Ashland Oregon. The retreat was facilitated by neale donald walsch, author of Conversation with God. This collection of books are some of the books that changed my life, so i just had to go to this retreat. I am so happy that i followed my heart and didn't listen to any negative comments about my trip. This would turn out to be one of the most important events in my life, I cannot describe in words, what i experienced, but my experience @ the retreat was priceless. On my previous section about me, i mentioned how i felt like i was doing my life's work, instead of just making a living. I know i was placed in this profession for a reason, and it's not only monetary reasons, it's something bigger than that. I truly believe that, Right Now I am doing my life's work. abou fantasy layout @ HOT FreeLayouts.com MyHotComments

On Religion
Kahlil GibranHave I spoken this day of aught else?
Is not religion all deeds and all reflection,
And that which is neither deed nor reflection, but a wonder and a surprise ever springing in the soul, even while the hands hew the stone or tend the loom?
Who can separate his faith from his actions, or his belief from his occupations?
Who can spread his hours before him, saying, "This for God and this for myself; This for my soul, and this other for my body?"
All your hours are wings that beat through space from self to self.
He who wears his morality but as his best garment were better naked.
The wind and the sun will tear no holes in his skin.
And he who defines his conduct by ethics imprisons his song-bird in a cage.
The freest song comes not through bars and wires.
And he to whom worshipping is a window, to open but also to shut, has not yet visited the house of his soul whose windows are from dawn to dawn.Your daily life is your temple and your religion.
Whenever you enter into it take with you your all.
Take the plough and the forge and the mallet and the lute,
The things you have fashioned in necessity or for delight.
For in revery you cannot rise above your achievements nor fall lower than your failures.
And take with you all men:
For in adoration you cannot fly higher than their hopes nor humble yourself lower than their despair. And if you would know God be not therefore a solver of riddles.
Rather look about you and you shall see Him playing with your children.
And look into space; you shall see Him walking in the cloud, outstretching His arms in the lightning and descending in rain.
You shall see Him smiling in flowers, then rising and waving His hands in trees.a href="http://www.invisiblechildren.com/tri" target="_blank"It's been more than four years since the violence began in Darfur. Over 400,000 innocent men, women and children have been killed and more than 2.5 million people have been driven from their homes. Millions more face death, rape, torture, and disease. In anticipation of the July 22nd anniversary of Congress' recognition of the situation in Darfur as a "genocide," the Save Darfur Coalition has launched a PSA campaign to raise awareness of the crisis in Darfur and increase the pressure on world leaders to act. Please help us seize this opportunity to remind our leaders and the American public that the "genocide" is still raging and to help finally put a stop to these atrocities before more lives are lost.We truly appreciate your help promoting this campaign.
