A.F.D.L

About Me

Engineered with brutal crunching rythms and a distinctive timing signature A.F.D.L creates an experience that is as intellectual as it is ferocious.Touching the deepest depths of the heavy metal universe, their music encompasses influence from all styles of the genre. Hailing from Prescott, Az this three piece battalion of metal martyrs leave scars wherever they are seen or heard. Relentless in their passion and determination for the heavier arts they take no heed to those offended or annoyed by their aggressive sound. A.F.D.L has endured through numerous encounters with the authorities and have even had the police called on them for being "obscene". Their lyrical message covers all aspects of life and death. Religion, politics, drugs, love/hate, and everything in between and beyond are expressed in their own in your face interpretation. They have released two demo CDs, the first a five song demo in 2002 (which included the old format and Bass player Kyle Wright), and another in 2004. A.F.D.L is nonstop in their search for any and all opportunities to express their destructive talent through clubs and stereos wherever they go. With an onslaught of songs like H.A.T.E, Pieces of Mind and the Butchers Bill, A.F.D.L brings to the heavy metal world the raw and brutal sounds that have made them and countless others in the underground music scene boil to the surface. Feasting on the hypocrisy, corruption and cynicism of the world "A Few Dead Losers" articulates a new masterpiece of grim reality through the art of music.A.F.D.L plays - Marshall Heads, Ampeg Heads and Cabinets, LTD Guitars, Washburn Guitars, Pearl Drums, Evans skins, Zildian Cymbals, Vic Firth Sticks, D'Addario Strings and any back yard party.A Brief History - After the separation of Emmenagogue ( Jason Richter - Vocals, Kyle Wright - Guitars) and Bastard Cuzzin ( Allen Black wood - Drums) Prescott, Az introduced a new death metal release. Forming in year 2000, Jason Richter, Kyle Wright and Allen Blackwood sought out A Few Dead Losers. Forming very quickly and playing gigs within four months it worked out well. However, Kyle Wright being a guitarist could not fancy the bass enough to continue... first break. After about six months Sean Gastonguay joined up to bring some punk rock influence in and worked out well for about two years......second break. Still persistent Jason and Allen continued there search for the ideal bassist finally finding Nathan Pasco. Nathan possessed all the groove, style and stamina to complete the trio. Through the last three years A Few Dead Losers. have remodeled there sound and style and are getting heavier by the day but still holding on to those rock and blues undertones. It has been thought of to add an additional guitarist, but, well four is not a few but it was soon to be done anyway. After the loss of Nathan Pasco (family reasons) and his replacement Ryan Allen (two days after his first gig due to a DUI) being sentenced to prison A.F.D.L brought on members of what was formerly Dark Artillary ( another Prescott metal band departed) adding another vocalist/bassist and a lead guitarist. The new additions have certainly added some depth and new ideas to the band and will only further thier talent and brutality.
