I work a lot with computer and network equipment so that is one of the many interests. I like to read books that are realistic. I am not really into Sci-Fi I like the stuff that you sit back and can relate to. I also like to keep up on gay topics and like to read Out Magazine and The Advocate to keep up on State and Government issues. I feel that being knowledgeable on these topics is important and we should try to make things better for the men and women coming behind us. A lot of people have made changes for us in the past so it is important to me to PAY-IT-FORWARD for tomorrow’s adults. I like to travel and see places that I would not normal see. I travel a lot for work and get to see a lot of those places that you really don’t think of for Vacation. I like to camp and enjoy nature and all it has to offer. I want to make sure that there is still places that have tree’s and untouched land for the people that will be born tomorrow. Some place where we can leave the technology in the city and escape to a place where the stars are high visible against a midnight back sky.
I'd like to meet:
I would like to meet a guy that is passionate, honest, caring, loyal, and sinful. The person that I want to meet will have a life plan and taking the steps that it takes to for fill those dreams. I want someone to share the good and bad times with. A man to share laughter and tears with and know that he can stand beside me during those times and be a better man for being there. I personally think that there is more to someone that what we see on the outside. Yes I know that there is a physical attraction that must be met for any relationship to grow, but there is also a mental attraction that is equally important to me. Yes I want a man with good looks and a mind and the ability to care a conversation. I know that there is one out there somewhere!
Music:
I tend to listen to everything except rap. I have never really gotten into music where there is not a message in the lyrics. I often find myself listening to music and relating to the message and most of the time is fitting my mood. If I am hyper it is usually pop hit and mixed dance music. If I am relaxing it more than likely 80’s music since it was the music of my childhood. If I am upset or feel that I have been wronged in some way it is usually country. If I am excited about a new friendship or possible relationship it is a mixture of all since there is a message of hope in the lyrics. Than there is just times that I can take simple yet often relaxing and romantic Jazz and instrumentals and get lost in the notes of the music without the need for words and rhymes.
Movies:
My favorites are Comedies and Fiction. I own every Harry Potter movie. I like the rags to Riches of Pretty Woman and Maid in Manhattan. I have my drama movie of all time Steel Magnolias. I also like horror that is realistic like all the Final Destination movies. Movies than make you laugh, cry, and jump in your skin are great. Yes I can cry to a movie that gets the emotions going with a good plot. Curling up in bed with a good movie with someone is one of my favorite things to do. Musicals made into movies like RENT, Chicago, and Victor Victoria
Television:
This really does have a lot of the same as movies. I am a Grays Anatomy fan! I like the Gilmore Girls because my relationship with my mother is so much like theirs. I like shows like JAG. Shows that were prime time in the 80’s like Fresh Prince, Roseanne, Golden Girls, Facts of Life, Who’s the Boss, and Designing Women. I enjoy some reality tv shows, Home Improvement, Home and Garden TV, Cooking Shows, and I tend to watch a lot of LOGO since that it promotes independent films from gay and lesbian groups.
Books:
I have read all of the Harry Potter books at least once. Some I have read more than once. I also have enjoyed all the current books from Dan Brown, Angels and Daemons, The De Vinci Code, Digital Fortress, and Deception Point. I have recently since I have started traveling for work have filled my Ipod with Audio books which include all the Harry Potter books, a few of the Dan Brown books to be re-read from above, The Fifth Angel by Tim Green, The Millionaires Club by Brad Meltzer, The Historian by Elizabeth Kostova, and Last Man Standing by David Baldacci. I have also read almost all of the book written by John Grisham like The Firm, The Client, and the Run away Jury.
Heroes:
My Number one Hero is my Mother. She has always given me unconditional love. She is the strongest woman I know. In her life she has faced more issues that have broken a lot of people. She has come out of those issues wiser than when she was faced with each. She has also been the one that when she gives her word she doesn’t retract or edit her reaction further down the road. She is the one that has instilled in me that you must be happy in life. When in relationships she has shown me that you set guidelines for those relationships and set the things that you will not tolerate at all, such as physical abuse and monogamous relationships. Making sure that each of her kids knows that no one else is needed in order for you to be complete and happy. My other Hero is more my mom’s hero than mine, Great Grandmother Verdi, I know that a lot of the wonder things that I see in my mom is what this great woman helped her to be. There are only a few things that I remember about her, But there are a few things that I remember when being at her house when I was young. One was a Cuckoo Clock in the front of the house. I can remember watching for the Birdie to pop out of the door, and my favorite memory is Christmas at her house. She was the only one that I ever knew that wrapped all of her presents in the Sunday Newspaper Funny’s. She raised my mother and I know that she molded her into the wonderful caring woman that she is today.
