I’m someone really easy to like at first. I’m bubbly, fun, weird, goofy. That’s my strongest defense mechanism and it always works. I’m also a very intense person, when you get to really know me. But, by then, you already like me and just take the time to get to know the rest of me. Part of me believes that if what people first saw was the intense part, no one would ever like me. But I’m both ways, and I really like it. Once this girl I worked with, and she hardly even knew me at the time, said I was all “rainbows and unicorns” and I absolutely love this definition. Because that’s exactly what your first see. I was raised by professors. Pretty much everyone in my close family (both parents, both aunts and three out of my four grandparents) are professors. I’m very proud of my family and I wouldn’t have it any other way. I admire their intelligence and humility. I was taught to think and have an opinion about everything. And I do. I have an opinion about everything, and I mostly say it as it is. I do tend not to say things that will offend others. Offend, not hurt. Because some truths need to be said, and they hurt. Others just make us seem arrogant and cause pettiness. I believe that being intelligent is also knowing when not to talk and say what you think. I tend to think (and over think) a lot. Therefore, I write a lot. I love to write. I also love to read. I believe words are some of the most beautiful things in the world. I love to watch television. Firstly, because I love stories, but differently than books, television comes with images and tv shows usually last longer than books. And movies. That’s why I love it so much. I’m not the greatest music lover in the world. I love music when accompanied by images, therefore, I love musicals and soundtracks, but music itself, unless it makes me relate to a very clear situation and image, is usually… ummm… boring. I’m a believer. I believe in God, fairies, elves, leprechauns, trolls, vampires, werewolves, spirits, banshees, everything. And I believe because there’s absolutely no proof they don’t exist. I think people are too skeptical. If there’s no proof that something exists, while there’s no proof it doesn’t exist, they choose not to believe in it. Well, I believe and I always will, unless you give me concrete proof I’m wrong. I tend do make an impression in people, either good or bad, but an impression nevertheless. I guess it comes with the territory. I love candy and think it’s the best invention ever. There’s no real purpose of its existence, but it certainly makes people happy. I really do believe good candy makes everything better. I’m Barbie and it’s a pleasure to meet you.
