Free Image Hosting STEVE STICKZ HEYLIGER is a singer, songwriter, composer with over 20 years of experience in the music industry.He has performed with some major names in the industry and has finally embarked on a long overdue solo career.He reached number 23 in the BRITISH NATIONAL CHARTS in 1999 - 2000
with a UK GARAGE track entitled SORRY by MONSTA BOY.This track was a smash on the underground garage scene for quite some time and was the first UK GARAGE track that was an actual song rather than just a series of loops.
Stickz is also an accomplished JINGLE writer with some top quality JINGLES that appear on such stations as RHYTHMflow.net,XTREMEFM.COM,& various businesses in & around NOTTINGHAM UK.Stickz was also heavily involved in the UK REGGAE SOUND SYSTEM explosion of the early 80's with his own SOUND SYSTEM "TUMBLAH ENTERTAINMENT EXPRESS".He has also made several DUB PLATE SPECIALS for SOUND SYSTEMS in both the UK & abroad.He records many different genres of music under many different guises from SOUL,RnB,FUNK,REGGAE,RAGGA,REGGAETON,POP,TECHNO,HOUSE,JAZZ,S

STICKZ is a member of the GUILD OF INTERNATIONAL SONGWRITERS AND COMPOSERS and has twice been a finalist in the UK SONGWRITING COMPETITION with collaborations with his brother TREVOR,also an accomplished singer/songwriter.Why this name?
When Steve left school in the mid to late 70's he formed a band named VOGUE As he was the drummer of the band and also quite slim,one of the band members,COLIN LLOYD decided that STICKZ would be an appropriate name and he has been called this ever since.Do you play live?
Stickz's greatest claim to fame was supporting SALT N PEPA in 1991 this was a tour of the UK and was the probably most inspirational thing to happen to him along with the fact that SALT N PEPA actually rated him as a vocalist meant alot to him and affirmed his endeavours to become successful in the industry.He has not performed for some time now but its only a matter of time before he gets back on the road again as he misses it dearly.How, do you think, does the internet (or mp3) change the music industry?
