About Me

We are three friends from the Isle of Man, making music that we find interesting. We don't really like major keys and I have a very short attention span. We have grown up listening to Manx music and stories and all feel a strong connection to our Island. We have a computer, which we use to make the strange dark soundscapes that accompany our songs. We have performed at the L'Orient Interceltic festival and at the Liet -Lavlut international sing contest for minority languages, in Sweden. We sometimes play at Manx cultural festivals and are gradually picking up speed gigging on the local pub scene (although I have a strange compulsion to make cakes for the audience which turns it into a more time-consuming event-some strange hostessing instinct). We have had a bit of radio play-thanks to Andy Kershaw for playing us on his Radio 3 programme recently and to Dan for the Saturday night session before we went to Sweden.Discerning members of the public can now purchase copies of our second album Holdfast in all the usual outlets on-island, as well as from us online. We also have a few limited edition copies of the advanced press we took to Sweden, complete with bonus track!Lhiats, AalinListen to samples of the entire album and buy it at tunetribeGet these tracks
