11 years ago, three young boys got together after listening to NWA - Straight outta Compton for a week straight. Knowing every song by heart, we felt we had a flow of our own. By taking each one of our own boomboxs, play, record, stop, mix, cut, play record etc. a few intro beats, outro beats, and some middle breakdowns. We created our own "instrumentals" from rap, rock, and R&b music. From the instrumentals, to the freestyles, and poems we placed over the beats, from one boom box to the other. We started to lose our "flow" that we gathered from memorizing NWA, KRS, LOTNS, etc.. and slowly grew into our own style. From there history began, we were only around the ages of 10, when we started doing shows for the family, and friends. "JJ TV" is our first appearance on film. We made about 40 cassette tapes of our own music, using this method of recording. A year or so later, we faded.. slowly.. as families moved, friends moved etc. We did stay in touch, but not too much Hip Hop wise. On our own we did still grow and gather with our personal styles. Years later, The original three came back together to form yet another Housestyle, Hip Hop group Mill Cidy Klik. From there, we started to form as not only solo, but able to grow with another artist, and take forms to create something incredible. Mill Cidy Klik, did not last too long, before Sswytch had enough drive to start Klik Star Productions, a Lowell, based Music production company. Started to help artists who don't have that chance, or believe in themselves enough to push solo. Mill Cidy Klik, rapidly disappeared behind the Klik Star name. We became the Klik Stars. Its been 2 years, since Klik Stars reached for the sky, still going strong. Released three mixtapes, and plenty more in the works. Stars, rocked shows, in Club Fuel, Weddings, Lo Kai, etc.. showing nothing but skills. Nothing is stopping the grind of the stars, but the stars themselves. To Sswytch, Born Shaun O'Brien November 2nd 1984, Hip Hop became a way of life, a culture, not just words, or profanaity, but a sound to empathize the truth, realness. So hard to find whats real, and whats not now adays, True Hip Hop in its entirity, pours with soul, truth, love, power. Nothing in the barrel, Hip Hop is everything, its the light we see, the dark we sleep in, the air we breathe.. the love we feel.. along with the hate we hold. It is what we make it, and we have taken a turn for the worse. Sswytch is bringing it back to the essense.
